As the counting area of Lewes voted to REMAIN, Maria Caulfied MP should resign
Rejected

What the petition asks
Conservative MP Maria Caulfield was a staunch advocate for leaving the European Union. The result of the EU referendum vote in Lewes highlighted that more constituents wanted to REMAIN, therefore Maria Caulfield does not represent the opinions of the Lewes constituency and she should resign.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Any decision on whether to resign would be a matter for Maria Caulfield, and the UK Government and Parliament are not responsible for removing MPs from office because of their views or opinions.
