Petition · past parliament

A confirmatory referendum on the UK's membership of the EU should be held.

Closed 219 signatures

What the petition asks

1. There was a margin of 3.8% in favour of leaving the EU. This is within the margin of error.
2. As the first referendum is advisory, Parliament is entitled to ask the electorate to confirm its decision. It is more democratic rather than less to ask for a confirmatory referendum.
