What the petition asks
We call upon Responsible MP’s from all sides to call for a general election in which they will stand as National Government candidates with the purpose of negotiating a settlement with the European Union that will meet the concerns of the people and promote the unity and prosperity of the UK.
The result of the referendum was close and divisive. But it was a democratic process that cannot be ignored. The rules of the process cannot be changed in response to the result. The major political parties are split. We need to set aside party politics and have a government that will bring the country together and negotiate the best settlement for our future.
