What the petition asks

We call for calm and seek confirmation that the following steps can only proceed in sequence:

First, clarification of the basic terms of BREXIT with the EU.

Second, a General Election and appointment of a Prime Minister.

Third, invocation of Article 50 by that Prime Minister.
We call for calmness and unity and believe this is best effected by swift confirmation that the following steps can only proceed in strict sequence:

First, clarification of the basic terms of BREXIT with the European Union.

Second, a General Election, formation of a new Government and appointment of a Prime Minister.

Third, invocation of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty by that Prime Minister.

Why it was rejected
