What the petition asks
On 23rd June 2016 the UK voted by a clear 4% majority to Leave the European Union.
We the undersigned request that the Government act on the democratic vote of the British people and Invoke Article 50 immediately thus triggering the two year period in which the UK will exit the European Union.

Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty states the following:
1. Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.
