Don't rush Brexit: invoke Article 50 after the next general election in 2020.

What the petition asks

The government carried out it's promise to have a referendum; it was not elected to exit the European Union.

Exiting the European Union is a massive undertaking, and requires planning, strong leadership and clear vision.

For the Brexit to succeed, we need a government elected for the purpose.
Points to consider from the Conservative Manifesto:
"Our commitment to you:
keep our economy secure by running a surplus so that we start paying down our debts."
"We will use our membership of ...the
EU [amongst other organisations]...to achieve the best for Britain."
"We want an EU that helps Britain move ahead..."
"The Conservative Party is the party of the Union
– and we will always do our utmost to keep our family
of nations together."
