What the petition asks
We the undersigned call for MPs of all political parties who are in favour to find a way of working together to ask both parliament and the electorate to reconsider the position taken in the EU membership referendum on 23rd June 2016
Both campaigns were fought on the basis of exaggerations and false promises. The gradual realisation of this might lead many voters to change their minds if given a second opportunity.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
