Parliament should ensure we remain members of the EU Single Market.

What the petition asks
While recognising the democratic validity of the recent referendum, we are extremely concerned at the damage leaving the EU will do to our economy. We therefore ask Parliament to ensure that in the negotiations to exit the EU we remain members of the Single Market.
It is extremely unlikely that a new Brexit Government will agree to hold a second referendum. The moment at which those of us who wish to protect our economy from the damage leaving the EU will cause is when the deal to exit is placed before the UK Parliament. We should ask Parliament to only agree a deal which protects our existing trading arrangements, in particular our access to the Single Market and the continued passporting of our financial services companies to all EU states.
