Call for an immediate general election

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

The British governments failure to secure Britains future in Europe combined with David Cameron's resignation has led to them having a complete lack of legitimacy and no mandate to negotiate on.

This is far too big to be left to the clowns and ghouls.
An event of this magnitude can not be left to an unelected prime minister of a divided and discredited party and their right wing allies.

A general election would be better than a second referendum since the question would be essentially the same though probably offering a second referendum.

And if leave it must be at least it will be a government elected to that purpose rather than a bunch of self serving plutocrats who are scrambling to save their carreers and legacies.
