Petition · past parliament
Prevent resignation from EU until after a general election.

What the petition asks
Stop the government invoking article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty until such time as a party manifesto detailing any BREXIT plans has been approved by the electorate through means of a general election.
The current Conservative manifesto details no plans on how to handle an exit of membership of the European Union. Therefore, they have no mandate on how to handle negotiations to effect a BREXIT.
