Petition · past parliament

Ensure Parliament and the Lords debate and vote on the activation of article 50.

What the petition asks

The EU decision deserves multiple layers of consideration. The referendum produced such a narrow result that both Parliament and the House of Lords should be required to debate and vote on the activation of article 50. The future of the UK should not be solely decided by a simple, populist vote.
