What the petition asks

In light of the wilful mendacity demonstrated by both sides during the recent referendum campaigns we the undersigned would like to see legislation introduced to bar those who have published lies in a political campaign from public office.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Ban politicians from office who lie or deliberately/knowingly deceive the public
