Make lies to the public by politicians, their campaigns, news+media illegal

What the petition asks

The UKs EU referendum leave campaign was based on lies, mistruths and hate incitement, it, along with newspapers and media outlets should be held accountable by the full force of the law for their hateful division of our society and civil breakdown and unrest.
For example: Boris Johnson and Nigel farage said leaving the EU will save £3.5million to go to the NHS. Then after winning said that will not happen. They also incite hatred towards ethnic minorities with implications of inferiority and negative stereotyping.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Make it illegal for any UK political figure to knowingly lie or mislead.
