What the petition asks
I think IKEA should recall Malm draws and dressers as this will help prevent any deaths or accidents in the UK. IKEA sold 27 million of these world wide in 2015.In 2015 there were 18.7 million families in the UK. We need to prevent any injuries or deaths to our children in the uk.
The dressers and chests have been linked to the deaths of at least six children in North America.
According to the U.S. CPSC six children in the U.S. have died since 1989, more than 40 injuries. Ones manufactured between January 2002 and June 2016 are qualified for a full refund. Furniture made before 2002 may be eligible for store credit.“Ikea US and Ikea Canada will launch a local recall of chests of drawers in North America only,” the company said in a statement. Why not recall in uk????

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This is the responsibility of IKEA, not the Government or Parliament.
