To Leave, long Article 50 talks are required.
A part of the UK can Leave, without having to go through long negotiations with the EU. Any part that leaves can re-join, by negotiation. Any part that stays does not need to re-negotiate.
If the whole UK leaves, it cannot re-join.
The Good Friday Agreement needs both the Republic of Ireland and NI to Remain, to avoid a return to armed struggle.
Gibraltar needs to Remain to keep its border open.
Scotland's votes since 2011 are for Remain
