Make it illegal for politicians to tell lies to the public.

What the petition asks
I would like this to change because for some reason, a lot of our politicians think it is perfectly acceptable to lie to the public to make them vote a certain way. If they really had the publics interest's at heart then there would be no need to tell lies.
The leave campaign used the lies of "350 million a week will go to our nhs" and "control our boarders to stop immigration" and after the public had based their vote on these statements, the leave campaign took them all back. They lied in other words.
