Create a law requiring a general election when a sitting Prime Minister resigns
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
David Cameron is the second Prime Minister in recent years to resign mid-term. His successor will not be chosen by the Britsh people but by 150,000 Conservative party members. We believe this to be wrong and there should be a general election whenever this situation arises
Creating this law would ensure that the Britsh people choose their Prime Minister
