What the petition asks
The British public voted to leave the E.U. in the hope of achieving better terms for its relationship with the E.U. Can those terms be achieved?
Promises were made such that the UK would be able to control immigration whilst having access to the Common Market, and that it would make large savings which would be used to fund the NHS. It is not at all certain that those promises can be delivered upon. If the they are not then the mandate for the Government to terminate the U.K.'s membership of the E.U. will be drawn into question. The British public must therefore be asked if they are satisfied with the bargain that has been struck.
