What the petition asks

Recent actions by political parties have undervalued our political system & values.
The Fixed term Parliaments Act 2011 dictates the next election due is in 2020.
As a democracy it's imperative that we choose a government that we trust to lead and secure the best future for the United Kingdom.
An early election can be called if the house of commons votes & calls for it
The British public have been failed by recent events. Many people across the UK no longer have confidence in the government's ability at any level to run our country to its best interests
It is also now apparent that the current British government has lost the respect of the European parliament
The future of the UK depends on strong leadership, a strong political system based upon strong values
Currently we have neither
