What the petition asks
It is important that the person who represents us nationally and internationally is someone who is democratically elected by citizens of the UK and not chosen by a limited number of party members.
I feel the UK would not have wanted Gordon Brown to be their PM and I'm not comfortable with the current group of Conservative MPs who have put themselves forward to be PM, particularly as I'm not a member of the Conservative Party and therefore have no say on who will be the UK's next leader.
