What the petition asks
My name is Sam. I'm a 31 year old mother of 2. I've always stayed up to date with my checks. Having had a baby 8 month ago delivered by c section I had a tender pain in my abdomen still to this day. After being admitted to A&E suspected appendicitis. It turns out I have a 17cm cyst on my ovary
If it wasn't for the sharp pain I experienced one day. I would never have know about this cyst. I have an appointment now to have a full hysterectomy (my choice as I want no risk of anything returning). As the cyst is classed as suspicious.
I believe if you arrange for ultra sounds to be done at the same appointment as women having smear tests. We can reduce the risk of other women living with these possibly life threatening undetected growths.
