Goverment funding for RNLI (lifeboats)

What the petition asks
RNLI is only funded by charitable donations. They are a vital emergancy service on par with the fire and ambulance services. These men and women risk thier lives to help people in distress all on a voluntary basis. Surely they should have the support of goverment funding.
