What the petition asks
Parliament committed (See: Extend Eu referendum voting rights to all UK citizens living abroad.) to introduce Overseas Electors Bill scrapping time limit on voting by UK citizens overseas. It failed to do so prior to EU referendum despite acknowledgement of its national significance.
Parliament to introduce Overseas Electors Bill immediately & hold second referendum once enacted. Give conditional notice simultaneously to EU(in accordance with first referendum result) of start of withdrawal negotiations. Second referendum to include overseas UK citizens disenfranchised from the 1st referendum covered now by Overseas Voters Act. Introduction of Overseas Electors Bill & second referendum to be planned over appropriate time period & in parallel with the withdrawal negotiations.
