Impeach Tony Blair for his role in the 2003 invasion of Iraq
Rejected

What the petition asks
Referencing the findings documented in Sir John Chilcot's Iraq Inquiry report, we call on parliament to impeach Tony Blair for his actions as Prime Minister in relation to the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The evidence shows that Tony Blair deceived parliament to gain support for a legally unjustified war.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We cannot accept a petition calling for impeachment because this procedure is now considered obsolete. It is not therefore clear what action could be taken on this petition.
