What the petition asks
The Women and Equalities Commision published the Transgender Equality Report on the 7th July 2016. It does not address any of the main concerned of Transgended Men and Women in the UK. It pastes over cracks in the systems, law and the rights of Trans people. Our community demands a full review.
There are 35 recommendations writhin the report and the majority are incomplete. The Transgender community requires that a further review is taken to ensure that the Women and Equalities Commision continue the work that have done to fully address all 35 recommendations and too ensure all are fully addressed in the shortest possible timeframe. This report must be treated as an interim report that is a work in progress. We demand the right to appropriate treatment and complete self determination.
