Stop Carr Lodge Park mansion being turned into flats

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

The mansion in Carr Lodge park Horbury was supposed to be left for the use of the people of Horbury by the architect John Carr it was sold to Horbury Council in the early 1930's again on the proviso it would be always be for the use of the people of Horbury

This was sold against the wishes and with much objection before from the Horbury community
It has since stood empty and became a derelict eyesore
Even when the 2 big events per year happen in the park the present owner does nothing to clean the area up

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can only accept petitions about planning at certain stages in the planning application and decision process, namely when the Secretary of State for Communities is able to "call the application in for determination". Because this application was approved on 3 July 2016 (https://planning.wakefield.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=N592IWQQ90000), the Secretary of State is no longer able to call this application in. We are therefore unable to accept your petition.
