Hold a referendum on the terms of Brexit before we leave the EU

What the petition asks
We demand a referendum on the Brexit terms asking whether the people, including 16 and 17 year olds, agree to them before the Govt commit us. If the people vote to reject the terms, Govt should withdraw our Art 50 notice to leave (before the 2 year period expires) and we would stay in the EU.
The House of Lords' EU Committee's view, based on leading experts they heard, is that we can withdraw our Art 50 notice to leave the EU at any time before the 2 year period (or any agreed extension of it) expires, without the EU's agreement being needed. See:
