Petition · past parliament
Require a general election to be called if a Prime Minister leaves post.

What the petition asks
General Elections are heavily influenced by who the leaders are of the parties. As such when the Prime Minister steps down there should be an opportunity for the general public to have a say on who will be leading the country.
We ask that legislation is brought forward to require a General Election in a situation where the sitting Prime Minister leaves post.
