What the petition asks
Following the EU referendum vote on 23 June, and the subsequent political fallout, a general election should be called to provide a democratic platform and mandate for an elected Prime Minister to represent the people of the United Kingdom. Failure to do so would dismantle democratic accountability.
Why it was rejected
