Petition · past parliament

Under the unusual circumstances, I demand a general election as soon as possible

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

It is bad enough for democracy if a prime minister is nominated simply on the say-so of just a few members of a particular party. Now it is particularly important that the Prime Minister has the support of a majority of the voting nation before irrevocable and irreversible actions are taken.
With all parties in disarray, and many sitting MPs on all sides of the spectrum having lost the confidence of their local electorate we presently have no government with a real mandate to carry on business and set the policy and the actions for the major changes that may lie ahead.
