What the petition asks
Section 59 is being abused by officers, it is used to threaten high powered supercar owners. The Police Reform Act needs to be revised and officers reminded on how to use there authority. Also car spotters should not face any ban or fine due to the actions of drivers and should be left alone.
There have been 2 cases of police issuing bans to car spotters and i feel that it is assured, anyone has the right to take a picture. Even so there may be tourists who have flown in and may simply want to take a picture of a luxurious sports car to then face a ban in a well known tourist attraction with a fine. Also in the papers wealthy luxurious have been finding there stay here very troubling and unwelcoming as the police have been stopping them purely for the fact that they can.
