What the petition asks
Damian Collins has not replied to 100's of letters sent around Dec 2015 from residents of Stanford & surrounding villages re: the proposed £250m lorry park, bringing dangerous pollution levels to villages. During this period he has written a book & has been heavily promoting it on Facebook/Twitter.
Residents of Stanford & surrounding villages formed a campaign group, SOS Kent with over 2,000 members to stop the monstrous £250m unprecedented 4000 space lorry park and offered up options for smarter solutions gaining support from Eurotunnel, Port of Dover, CPRE & shipping company, Motis agreeing one massive lorry park will not solve Operation Stack. The Transport Select Committee report said it had been rushed & government "has not demonstrated clearly enough what options have been evaluated".
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government and Parliament aren't responsible for removing MPs because of the way in which they handle their constituency duties.
