Make a National Doctors' Day

What the petition asks
Doctors provide care with altruistic values. Some countries like USA, India and Iran recognise their doctors with a special day. Such a day would recognise doctors' contribution to society.
Since 1933, USA has been celebrating a national doctors' day on 9th May, signed in law by President George Bush in 1990. Iran recognises famous physician, Avicenna and celebrates his birthday as doctors' day. In UK, Such a celebration will help doctors build their self-esteem and create a binding relationship between doctors and their patients.
It should not a national holiday but a day of celebration and acknowledgement in hospitals and GP surgeries, just like nurses day (12th May).
