What the petition asks
Due to my own dog being injured in an unprovoked attack from another dog, I would like to have "dog on dog" attacks include in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Any dog that is injured or harmed in an unprovoked attack from another dog should be a criminal offence due to irresponsible ownership.
Any dog that is injured or harmed in an unprovoked attack from another dog should be a criminal offence due to irresponsible ownership.
Photographic evidence from the attack is available, a report from the veterinary clinic can be requested, and witness statements.
The incident was reported to the police and has been logged.
This attack was clearly vicious and distressing to ourselves and the dog, and was completely unprovoked.
As responsible pet owners, our dog was on a lead and wearing a muzzle, unable to defend himself in the attack.
