Petition · past parliament
Stop food outlets from charging to "upgrade" from normal chips to curly fries.

What the petition asks
The large majority of food outlets charge extra to "upgrade" from normal chips to curly fries, at a usually extortionate rate of around £1. Surely, switching from one style of potato chip to another is a "side grade" and therefore should be a free service.
A bag of curly fries cost little extra than a bag of normal chips at trade cost. Stop food outlets from charging the "upgrade" stealth tax.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
