Petition · past parliament

Withdraw any licence issued to kill buzzards or other birds of prey.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Natural England has issued a licence to unknown persons to kill buzzards, a species recovering from low population levels.
Birds of prey are an essential part of the natural environment.

This license has been issued secretly to unknown people in an unknown area of the country, most probably to protect some of the millions of pheasants and partridges released into the countryside to be shot.

Many millions of people enjoy seeing birds of prey in the countryside. Their quiet enjoyment of nature is more important than the "sport" of a minority.
