This year marks 34 years since the Falklands War.
The invasion of the Falkland Islands occurred April 2 1982.
The conflict ended June 14 1982.
We believe that to mark our Armed Forces bravery and sacrifice, this date should be known as Falklands Liberation Day

We believe that the Government should mark the liberation of the Falkland Islands and name June 14th Falklands Liberation Day.
To mark our brave Armed Forces' bravery, courage and sacrifice, we believe this should be officially recognised.
The Falklands Islands mark Margaret Thatcher Day every year. They have the right to self determination.
It is now time to mark this in our own calendar.
