Petition · past parliament

Hold disability (PIP) assessors to account by their professional bodies.

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

With the number of complaints against PIP assessors rising, the assessors should be made accountable to their own professional bodies for the way they act when assessing disability claimants.
The government should act to ensure this is done.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
If assessors are already members of professional bodies, then it would be the responsibility of those bodies to decide whether, and in what circumstances, they should take action against one of their members.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
