To tackle the homelessness in Manchester. We should not have homelessness

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

I have been through bad times in my life and I have had no help rather than be lucky to have good friends within the Church to house me. We should not be having homelessness in a rich country like UK!
Manchester is full of homeless people with animals as only companion. Why should human beings be sleeping on the streets whilst Government sleep comfortably with their rich salaries?

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Housing and homelessness in your local areas is the responsibility of your local council.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
https://www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors

You can also petition your local council - you can find out more here:

If you would like the Government or Parliament to take a specific action to address homelessness across the country, you could start a new petition asking for that.
