What the petition asks

This is important to me because my cat was hit a left for dead, he was such a big part to my life, it really does leave as much heart break as it would for a human to die. It should be illegal to hit them an just drive away, you wouldn't do the same to humans, so why would you do it to animals

Having different Rights for different animals is wrong he was such am affectionate cat, This has really effected me emotionally an physical. The problem is we have to many heartless people who speed down roads, my cat was hit by a speeder, I know this because of the car hit the back of him sending him to get pushed at some force the impact he had to the head was enough to kill him, the driver drove off knowing what they had done, they will get away with this due to the Road traffic act.

Why it was rejected
