Introduce mandatory prison sentences for persons who assault emergency services

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

As the number of assaults against emergency workers increases more and more perpetrators are being dealt with by way of a community pay back order or worse they have the charge dropped as part of a plea deal.
It is time that our emergency services had adequate protection from the justice system.
