End religious discrimination in school admissions.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Many faith schools have admissions policies based on religion, leading to local children not being able to get in, parents lying about their religion and reducing cultural integration in British society. No child should be denied a school place because of their or their parents religion.
The government has recently proposed to allow even greater religious discrimination in faith schools due to lobbying by catholic groups. In the 21st century this is a retrograde step.
