What the petition asks
On September 12th 2016, the sad news broke that national institution 'The Great British Bake Off' was callously bought by Channel 4.
As a result, matriarchal presenters Mel & Sue quit. This cannot be left. Like a good loaf, we need to rise.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
