What the petition asks
The surge of December 2013 resulted in devastation and suffering for all the communities of Walcott, Bacton & Happisburgh. Many losses were catastrophic.Walcott and Bacton have been flooded twice, now, in seven years.
Norman Lamb MP has been an ardent campaigner, supporting us and as a result of his support we achieved partial rock armouring at Ostend, Walcott. Following a meeting with him on Tuesday 30th August 2016, he has asked that I urge everyone in the communities whether you are a resident, a regular visitor, a business or holiday home owner to please sign this petition. The more evidential support we can show the government the better it will be for us all in securing extra funding towards a beneficial defence scheme.
