Give drink drivers an instant 4 week jail sentence if convicted to deter them.

What the petition asks

In 2014 stats show that some 220 people were killed in crashes in which a driver was over the legal limit, 880 were seriously injured. Nearly 1 in 6 of all deaths on the road involve drivers who are over the legal alcohol limit. This is still too high and people still think it's OK to drink-drive.
A total of 613,090 people were charged with drink driving during this period. 2004 - 2014. Statistics show that 595,093 (97%) of defendants charged were subsequently convicted while 17,997 (97%) were not convicted. Taken from drink driving.org
