What the petition asks
Pensioners find themselves stranded when using public transport if they lose their freedom pass while travelling. They cannot use cash on buses. Carrying contactless cards is not an option because many elderly get confused and inadvertently get wrongly charged for unintentional contactless payment
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Freedom Pass is run by London Councils, not the UK Government or Parliament.
