Ban the sale of live Animals in all UK Pet Shops

Closed 527 signatures

What the petition asks

It's currently too easy for the general public to impulse buy pets many of which end up being sold, rehomed, surrendered to rescues
The staff in the pet shops generally do not have the right skills or training for each animal.
All too often profit comes before welfare with many pet shops.
Many visits to a local (branded) pet shop, none of the staff show any trained skills of being able to deal with each animal
not knowing how to handle a Budgie or get it out of the cage,

Sending a Chicken back to the supplier for making "funny nosies" this chicken was going to be sent back to be put down, hanging air freshers in the cages of Rabbits and Chickens.
