Bring back Bake Off to the BBC
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
We feel that the most popular show watched by BBC license fee payers should have been protected from poaching and bought back to the BBC.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of the UK Government and there is no provision for the UK Government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
