We ask Her Majesty's Government to declare Pakistan a state sponsor of Terrorism

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Pakistan continues to double speak on issue of terrorism. It has aided & abetted enemies of the international coalition (of which Britain is a leading partner with the US) against terrorism. Osama Bin Laden's hide out was in Pakistan. Pakistan continues to harbour UN sanctioned terror networks.
Trail of investigations into the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York by US authorities led to Pakistan. Many of those terrorists were found to be 'trained' by terror networks in Pakistan.
Trail of investigations into the 7/7 terrorist attacks in London by British authorities also led to Pakistan. Atleast 3 of 4 terrorists had travelled to Pakistan before the attacks.
Investigations into the 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai & many other attacks on Indian soil also point finger to Pakistan.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

“State Sponsors of Terrorism” is a designation used by the Department of State in the United States of America. This designation is not used in this way by the UK Government.

You could start a new petition calling on the UK Government to take a specific action to address your concerns about Pakistan.
