Simplify naturalisation process for EU nationals that have been here 5 years.

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

There are 3 million EU nationals living in the UK. Some have been here more than 5 years and have families. The only way to secure our future amidst the uncertainty is to become naturalised but the process is convoluted, lengthy and costs more than £1,500, even though we have paid taxes for years.

Given the amount of people involved the potential disruption to all parties involved is considerable, this includes delays due to large numbers of applicants. Information is unclear and applicant are given contradictory information risking the loss of the £1200 fee.
